Murphy's Housing

Getting Started

Overview

Understand property types, mappings and the version scope of this Housing documentation.

What Housing manages

Murphy's Housing is distributed as murphy_realestate. It manages property purchase or rental, guest access, storage and decoration. It supports instanced interiors and MLO buildings, which have different placement and decoration workflows.

Choose a property type

Type How it works What to prepare
Instanced interior A property's interior is isolated from other properties using that template. An installed interior template, its interior points, and an exterior entrance.
MLO A building already placed on the world map uses its physical doors. The mapping, accessible door entities, and management/storage points.

The inspected implementation provides furniture decoration inside instances. Do not assume the same editor is available for an MLO.

Mappings and dependencies

The Housing script does not itself supply every mapping visible in its trailer. The storefront identifies a collaboration with Snail Interactive; the relevant mapping must be obtained and installed separately where required. Registering coordinates cannot create a missing interior model.

The script requires oxmysql and murphy_interact, plus the supported framework and inventory used by the server. The storefront lists VORP, RSG and RedEM:RP with automatic framework detection. Optional integrations are separate resources; enable and document only those actually installed.

  1. Install the resource.
  2. Review configuration.
  3. Create one instance or MLO with a test character.
  4. Test ownership and currency, guest access and storage, then decoration.
  5. Configure the player market and tax/eviction policy.
  6. Use the developer API only for integrations that need it.

Version scope

Configuration and API references describe the reviewed 1.35.1 implementation. The currency/eviction fixes in 1.36.0 and VORP storage change in 1.38.1 are documented separately from their public release notes. Check the version in your package before applying a version-specific instruction. The existing store captures illustrate a demonstration setup; they are not certification of every framework or release.
