Set the property policy deliberately

The inspected Config.EvictionSystem controls the daily check, warning thresholds, grace period and cleanup. Payment deadlines, rental duration and the eviction schedule are different settings. Document them in the server's rules so owners know when payment is due.

Warning delivery through Post is an optional integration. Confirm it with a test property and recipient; a missing letter does not necessarily mean the underlying tax deadline is absent.

Critical upgrade from before 1.36.0

The public 1.36.0 release notes identify a date-format bug that previously prevented the eviction check from working. After the fix, old properties with overdue tax can become eligible for eviction.

The release introduces this server-console command:

realestate_eviction_amnesty 7

It postpones deadlines for overdue owned properties and resets their warnings, granting a seven-day reprieve in this example. It affects multiple properties. The release instructs existing servers to use it just after this upgrade, before the next scheduled eviction check, so owners receive proper notice.

Back up the database, review the actual release instructions and overdue properties, and plan the transition before starting the updated system. Do not run the command every restart or repeatedly extend deadlines during normal operation.

Understand cleanup consequences

The inspected cleanup settings distinguish removing ownership, clearing guests and retaining or clearing Housing decoration. In particular, wipeHousing affects saved furniture. Leaving it disabled means a subsequent owner may inherit the existing layout according to that implementation.

Confirm your installed adapter behavior for storage and integrations before choosing what an eviction should preserve. Use a disposable property with known contents; do not test forced eviction on a player's home.

Other upgrade checks

• 1.36.0 currency correction: existing properties already stored as Dollar retain that currency until individually reviewed and edited. See Ownership and Currency.

• Update the full list of files in the applicable release, including rebuilt UI when listed. Merge configuration values and new fields while retaining your server's settings.
