RedM documentation
Murphy's Interact
Getting Started
Installation
Download, install and start Murphy Interact.
Install Murphy Interact on your RedM server before starting the resources that use it.
Download Murphy Interact
Download the resource from the official Murphy Interact repository. Extract the complete archive and name the resource folder exactly murphy_interact.
The manifest should be directly inside that folder, for example resources/[local]/murphy_interact/fxmanifest.lua. If your extracted folder is named murphy_interact-main, rename it. Keep the supplied client, shared and stream files together.
Required dependency
Murphy Interact uses ox_lib. Install its packaged release in a folder named ox_lib, with init.lua directly inside it. The ox_lib release download provides version 3.39.0, checked on September 15, 2026.
Use a RedM-compatible release with its compiled interface included. Version 3.39.0 requires FXServer build 7290 or later and OneSync. Murphy Interact does not specify a minimum ox_lib version.
Startup order
Add the following to server.cfg, before the resources that use Murphy Interact:
The first line skips the bundled default example so your server uses the interactions supplied by its gameplay resources. Keep it before ensure murphy_interact.
Start the resources that use Murphy Interact afterwards, following their configured startup order.
Check the installation
Restart the server and check the server console for startup errors. Join the server, approach a configured interaction and hold E to display its options. You can also check the client console with F8.
If something does not start, follow Startup errors. If Interact starts but a menu is missing, follow Interaction problems.
Updating
Back up your settings before replacing the resource with the complete updated download. Reapply your chosen settings, then restart Murphy Interact followed by the resources that use it. This restores their interaction menus after the update.
