Common Issues

Troubleshoot Camp dependencies, interactions, fuel timing, invitations, crafting props and Lost Objects.

Installation and interaction

The campfire is placed, but I cannot interact with it or the furniture

Camp uses murphy_interact. Start its RedM-compatible ox_lib dependency, then murphy_interact, before murphy_camp, and resolve the first startup error. An error such as “No such export AddInteraction” points to an unavailable or incompatible interaction resource, not a reason to delete camp data.

Check the interaction key in the installed murphy_interact configuration. Historical examples use Alt, while other setups bind a mouse button. Changing Camp's placement key does not necessarily change the interaction key. See Installation.

Interaction works until a reconnect

This symptom was reported more than once, and support issued Camp/Interact fixes. Record both resource versions and update the relevant dependency and Camp files together. Test placing a disposable camp, reconnecting and opening its fuel/furniture actions. Do not remove the live camp from the database to make the prompt return.

Which Craft resource does a camp prop need?

Basic Camp operation and optional crafting interactions are separate. Historical instructions may refer to the old free crafting menu. For current station-based furniture integration, Camp 2.12.0 documents the craftStation field and requires Murphy's Craft 1.8.0 or later. The station name must match its definition in Craft. Check the downloaded configuration and Craft Stations before connecting an old free-script event to the paid product.

The camp item or fuel item cannot be used

Check the item names configured in shared/config.lua against your framework's actual registry and the first usable-item registration warning. The configured fuel name is Config.FuelItem; do not copy another server's translated item name blindly. Check placement restrictions such as camp count, blocked areas and separation from existing camps before changing permissions.

Fuel, guests and lost objects

OneFuelperDay is true but the text still says hours

Config.OneFuelperDay selects daily instead of hourly fuel consumption. A client-confirmed report involved an hours/days translation mismatch rather than the consumption calculation. Check the fuel counter over the configured interval and the matching wording in shared/translate.lua. Correct a label only after confirming the selected mode; do not increase fuel consumption to match the wrong label.

Disabling the invitation interaction also seems to break invitations

Config.InviteInteract = false hides the interaction prompt; it does not intentionally disable the invitation command. The configured command flow is described in Commands. Camp 2.7.3 corrected the reported invitation/removal targeting bug. Test with two players at the camp and use the targeting behavior documented for that release. Do not add a player-ID argument to a command whose handler selects a nearby player.

A prop is stuck in a wall and cannot be selected

Camp 2.10.0 added “Remove all furniture”. This affects all furniture in the camp, not just the stuck object. Config.RemoveAllFurnitureMode distinguishes staff cleanup from owner cleanup, including different refund behavior. Check the supplied configuration and explain the effect before using the action on a populated camp. Avoid deleting camp tables as a workaround.

Lost Objects exists, but it contains nothing

Check Config.LostObjects.enabled, storage-item rescue settings and the SQL table supplied for the feature. Then check the 2.12.1 save-order correction below. A table existing does not prove the transfer ran. Test with a disposable camp and known furniture/storage contents; do not promise to restore items deleted before the fix without a usable backup.

Known issues by release

Check the installed version in fxmanifest.lua before applying a release-specific fix. Back up configuration and data before updating.

Lost Objects remains empty after a camp runs out of fuel

Release reference: 2.12.1. The 2.12.1 notes describe a save-order issue that deleted depleted camps before their items reached Lost Objects. The fix covers stored items, furniture, and the campfire item. It does not establish that items already deleted by an older version can be recovered. Preserve backups and test with a disposable camp after updating.

If the issue remains

Report the installed version, framework, first console error, reproduction steps, and expected versus actual result through support. Remove credentials and unrelated player information from attachments.
