Language Support

Murphy's Camp supports multiple languages through easy-to-edit translation files. This allows server owners to customize text and localize the resource for their community.

Default Languages

The resource currently supports these languages:

  • English (default)
  • Spanish
  • French
  • German

Editing Translation Files

Translation files are located in the /locales folder. To modify or add a language:

  1. Open the corresponding language file (e.g., en.lua)
  2. Edit the text values
  3. Restart the resource to apply changes

Example Translation File

lua
Translations = {
welcome = "Welcome to Murphy's Camp",
menu_title = "Camp Management",
error_no_permission = "You do not have permission"
}

Adding a New Language

  1. Create a new file in /locales (e.g., it.lua for Italian)
  2. Copy the structure from an existing translation file
  3. Translate all text values
  4. Update the language configuration in the main settings

Changing Server Language

Set the default language in the config file:

lua
Config.Language = 'en' -- Default language code

Custom Translations

If a specific phrase isn't translated, the system will default to English to prevent missing text.
