Murphy’s Platform

Setup and team

Server connection

Install the resource safely and verify heartbeat, position, and health sync.

The server resource is the bridge between your FXServer and the web dashboard. It authenticates with a resource token and sends only the supported events and snapshots configured for your workspace.

Connect FXServer

  1. Place the resourceAdd the official `murphy_platform` folder to the server resources.
  2. Copy the credentialsOpen Settings > Server Connection and use the generated configuration.
  3. Set the start orderStart compatible Murphy plugins before `murphy_platform` in `server.cfg`.
  4. Restart and observeWatch the FXServer console for startup or authentication errors.
  5. Confirm the heartbeatReturn to Platform and verify the connected state.

The connection page also stores the server IP and port used by the workspace.

The generated configuration uses separate intervals for:

  • Heartbeat to prove the server is online.
  • Position sync for the Live Map.
  • Health sync for latency, player count, resource count, and uptime.

Shorter intervals create fresher data but increase request volume. Start with the generated defaults unless you have a measured reason to change them.

Warning
The resource token authorizes the server connection. Do not paste it into support messages, screenshots, public repositories, or client-side code.

If the token is exposed, rotate it from the connection page and replace it in the server configuration before restarting the resource.

Read the connection health

Use these signals in order:

  1. FXServer starts murphy_platform without an error.
  2. The Dashboard reports the server as connected.
  3. New player sessions appear in Players.
  4. Health metrics update on Server Health.
  5. Positions appear on the Live Map when position sync is enabled and supported.

If only some data appears, inspect the relevant permission, installed script, and sync setting instead of replacing the resource immediately.
