Murphy's Camp

Getting Started

Installation

Install and verify Murphy's Camp with the correct resource, dependencies and configuration for your release.

Prepare the resource

Download the complete murphy_camp resource from your customer assets. Check the installed version in fxmanifest.lua. Back up your working configuration and database before updating. Keep the resource folder name unchanged and place the manifest directly inside it, rather than nesting the extracted resource inside an extra download folder.

Dependencies and configuration

Start your supported framework and inventory, oxmysql, the RedM-compatible ox_lib used by Interact, and murphy_interact before Camp. Camp's interaction dependency is required; simply starting oxmysql and Camp is insufficient.

Set Config.framework using the exact value supplied for your framework. Configure camp limits, placement restrictions, fuel and guest permissions in shared/config.lua. Register the configured camp, furniture and fuel items in your framework's item registry. Use the actual configured names rather than labels copied from another server.

Review the supplied murphy_camp.sql and apply missing schema changes without dropping existing camp data. Lost Objects, introduced in 2.10.0, also requires its supplied table; the transfer correction is in 2.12.1.

Crafting integrations are optional and version-specific. The current station-prop integration described in Camp 2.12.0 uses the paid Craft station API (Craft 1.8.0+); an older free crafting menu is a different resource. Install only the integration intended by your configuration.

Start and verify

After the dependencies and configuration in shared/config.lua are ready, add the resource line:

server.cfg
ensure murphy_camp

This is the resource's start line, not a complete server configuration. Check the first client/server error, then test one normal action with a test character. Verify the result after reconnecting where data should persist. Use Common Issues for the relevant symptom.

When merging an update, retain your settings while adding new required keys. Include UI, translation and adapter files listed in its release notes; changing only fxmanifest.lua does not update the implementation.
