Localization and text customization

Language Support

Murphy's Job supports multiple languages out-of-the-box. You can easily change the language used in the plugin through the configuration file.

Supported Languages

Currently, the following languages are available:

  • English (default)
  • French
  • German
  • Spanish
  • Portuguese

Changing Language

To change the language, modify the config.lua file:

lua
Config.Language = 'fr' -- Set language to French

Custom Translations

You can create or modify translations by editing the language files in the /locales/ directory.

Adding Custom Text

To override specific text, you can add custom translations in the configuration:

lua
Config.CustomTranslations = {
['job_start_message'] = 'Begin your work shift now!',
['job_end_message'] = 'Great job today!'
}

Language File Structure

Each language file follows a simple key-value format:

lua
Translations = {
['job_title'] = 'Worker',
['start_work'] = 'Start Work',
['stop_work'] = 'End Shift'
}

Contributing Translations

Want to add a new language? Contribute by creating a new locale file in the /locales/ directory with complete translations.
