Murphy's Job Board

Getting Started

Installation

Install and verify Murphy's Job Board with the correct resource, dependencies and configuration for your release.

Prepare the resource

Download the complete murphy_jobpanel resource from your customer assets. Check the installed version in fxmanifest.lua. Back up your working configuration and database before updating. Keep the resource folder name unchanged and place the manifest directly inside it, rather than nesting the extracted resource inside an extra download folder.

Dependencies and configuration

Check the manifest and configuration in the customer package you downloaded. Resource folders and configuration paths from a separate development rework are not installation instructions for the published Job Board release.

Start the package's database connector and framework before Job Board. The board interaction uses murphy_interact; start its RedM-compatible ox_lib dependency, then murphy_interact, before Job Board. Resolve errors in these resources before testing the board.

An import of @oxmysql/lib/MySQL.lua requires oxmysql. An older mysql-async example does not satisfy that import, and installing two connectors is not a generic fix. Review the actual archive before applying its SQL schema, and preserve existing jobs and progress.

Start with one supplied board/job and the Beginner Guide. Keep space in front of the board so its interaction can be selected. Use the interaction key configured on your server.

Start and verify

After the dependencies and configuration are ready, add the resource line:

server.cfg
ensure murphy_jobpanel

This is the resource's start line, not a complete server configuration. Check the first client/server error, then test one normal action with a test character. Verify the result after reconnecting where data should persist. Use Common Issues for the relevant symptom.

When merging an update, retain your settings while adding new required keys. Include UI, translation and adapter files listed in its release notes; changing only fxmanifest.lua does not update the implementation.
