Murphy's Clothing

Getting Started

Installation

Install and verify Murphy's Clothing with the correct resource, dependencies and configuration for your release.

Prepare the resource

Download the complete murphy_clothing resource from your customer assets. Check the installed version in fxmanifest.lua. Back up your working configuration and database before updating. Keep the resource folder name unchanged and place the manifest directly inside it, rather than nesting the extracted resource inside an extra download folder.

Dependencies and configuration

Start the framework, its inventory and oxmysql before Clothing. For the murphy_interact shop mode, start its RedM-compatible ox_lib, then murphy_interact. The resource also uses murphy_notify for its notification calls; start the dependency supplied for your package.

Set Config.framework using the exact supported value in your downloaded configuration and adapter. Configure Config.NativePrompt, Config.MenuCommand, shops and prices in shared/config.lua. Set Config.DevMode = false for normal player use.

Apply only the schema appropriate to your installed framework/release, preserving existing outfits. Register the item named by Config.OutfitItem in your inventory. RSG outfit items should use unique = true to retain separate outfit metadata. In releases supporting disabled outfit items (3.35.0+), Config.OutfitItem = nil retains saved outfits without granting an inventory item.

If Creator or another appearance resource is installed, follow its documented framework integration; do not remove core appearance dependencies indiscriminately.

Start and verify

After the dependencies and configuration in shared/config.lua are ready, add the resource line:

server.cfg
ensure murphy_clothing

This is the resource's start line, not a complete server configuration. Check the first client/server error, then test one normal action with a test character. Verify the result after reconnecting where data should persist. Use Common Issues for the relevant symptom.

When merging an update, retain your settings while adding new required keys. Include UI, translation and adapter files listed in its release notes; changing only fxmanifest.lua does not update the implementation.
